About me
Marina
My job is to mentor nurses and other caregivers during their training. I work in a nursing home and give guidance to students, young and old, so that they can give the best possible care to the mostly elderly residents. Outside of my work, being a seamstress has always been one of my hobbies.
In recent years, I've made 4 amazing journeys through the Sinai desert on the back of a camel (with DesertJoy) and have come into contact with the Beduin community which lives there. When one of them had to have an MRI-scan made, I discovered how difficult, time-consuming and expensive this is for them. Where I live, we've almost come to take good health care for granted. Because Healthcare is my daily profession and sewing my hobby, I decided to combine the two and created the 'stroptass'. All the money of every bag goes directly to the Beduin in the Sinai so that they can continue their work, and take care of the desert, the camels and their traditions.
